Saturday Night

It's Saturday night and I ain't got nobody. NOT! I love all of youse.
I got some money 'cause I just got paid. NOT. Working on commodifying my labour.

I got the whole world in my hands. Yes I do. Back to making bread.

Levitation and other feats

She taught us first to catch
bread dough, tossed through
chilly light in winter
kitchen laughing hours.

You're not here to catch the bread. I can make more. It's now dawning, chilly. Chilly that is if you're not kneading bread. Come, catch bread with me. The best is yet to be.

Decembrists, Arise!

The Decembrist revolt or the Decembrist uprising (Russian: Восстание декабристов) took place in Imperial Russia on December 14 (December 26 New Style), 1825. Russian army officers led about 3,000 soldiers in a protest against Nicholas I's assumption of the throne after his elder brother Constantine removed himself from the line of succession. Because these events occurred in December, the rebels were called the Decembrists (Dekabristy, Russian: Декабристы). This uprising took place in the Senate Square in St. Petersburg. In 1925, to mark the centenary of the event, it was renamed as Decembrist Square (Ploshchad' Dekabristov, Russian: Площадь Декабристов). The revolt was personally suppressed by Nicholas I of Russia.

Adventitious

Sunday November 25 2007, was the last Sunday before Advent. I was in New York City, at St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery, with maybe 10 other people, for the service. There was a DVD devotion lined up. Yup. No signal. There was the God Beam, beaming down on the very small flock, saying "look". Just friggin' look. Up, down, I don't give a good God damn, just look. I did. Much later, alone in the sanctuary, I took this picture. Thus endeth the technology wonks. Smitten.
